Women for 35% Initiative Appoints Mrs. Nanyi Dipnap as Coordinator, Southern Senatorial Zone – Plateau State

The AJU Morgan Elumelu Foundation (AMEF), through its national advocacy movement, the Women for 35% Initiative, proudly announces the appointment of Mrs. Nanyi Dipnap as the Coordinator for the Southern Senatorial Zone, Plateau State.

Mrs. Dipnap is a seasoned politician, passionate grassroots mobilizer, and long-standing advocate for women’s political inclusion, with over two decades of service in governance, community engagement, and leadership development. Her political journey began in 1999 when she served as a Protocol Officer at the PDP National Headquarters, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, marking the start of a career defined by courage, resilience, and dedication to public service.

Two Decades of Political Leadership and Community Service

A determined voice for her constituency, Mrs. Dipnap has contested for the Plateau State House of Assembly (Langtang North–North Constituency) in 2007, 2011, and 2019—demonstrating her unwavering commitment to representation and gender inclusion in politics.

Her leadership experience includes:

  • Member, Local Government Management Committee (2012–2014) – overseeing Special Duties

  • Board Member, Plateau State Government (2013–2015) – contributing to governance reforms and policy implementation

Through these roles, she has championed community empowerment, strengthened institutional systems, and inspired women across Plateau State to step into leadership roles with confidence.

Leading Women for 35% in the Southern Zone

As Coordinator for the Southern Senatorial Zone, Mrs. Dipnap will:

  • Drive statewide advocacy for women’s political representation

  • Lead grassroots mobilization and leadership development programs

  • Strengthen partnerships with political, traditional, and civil society stakeholders

  • Ensure women across the Southern Zone are informed, empowered, and equipped to participate in governance
